The original manuscript of Great Expectations has been newly photographed and is here reproduced in colour and at actual size. The serialised version of 1860–1 and the first book edition of 1861 are also reissued, enabling scholars and enthusiasts to study Dickens' work-in-progress alongside the first two published versions.
