Complete Works of John Milton: Volume V

The four prose tracts Milton published from 1643 to 1645 on divorce constitute an underappreciated body of work in the great writer's canon. This new edition explores Milton's literary and political influences and interventions, and reveals the makings of a great poet and thinker in the fiery conflicts of civil war and intellectual revolution.
